Distance Learning Complaint Process for Out-of-State Students

Ohio University is currently authorized to offer distance education programs in: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington, D.C., West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming with further states pending approval.

eLearning Ohio distance learning students from out of state should attempt to resolve any issues or complaints with Ohio University. The process for filing a complaint related to academics can be found in the Student Handbook online. All other discrimination and equity issues should be files with Institutional Equity. Please try to exhaust all possible avenues of complaint before going outside of the University.

However, if an issue cannot be resolved internally, you may file a complaint about Ohio University with your State by referring to the following list of State Agencies in compliance with federal Department of Education regulations. You may also contact our accrediting agency, North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Higher Learning Commission.
