Welcome to the College Program for the Incarcerated (CPI) at Ohio University! Our program has a long history of assisting incarcerated students across the nation in their pursuit of higher education through paper-based correspondence courses.  Whether students have previous college credit or never attend a college or university before, we have options to assist them in pursuing their goals of taking courses, earning a certificate or completing a degree.

Studies show that individuals who complete educational programs while incarcerated have increased potential of finding a job and staying out of prison.  Check out a recent article about us:
