Earn an Ohio University bachelor's degree -
without leaving the Huntington area!

If you have completed an applied associate degree from Mountwest Community & Technical College* – or if you will soon – you are well on your way to a bachelor’s degree. And you can earn it without leaving home!Save Money!
*or another accredited community college, regional campus or technical college

AS LITTLE AS TWO YEARS
You can take some courses at Mountwest and others at Ohio University, either online or in-person right across the river at the Proctorville Center or at the Southern Campus in Ironton.

SAVE MONEY
Pay Mountwest tuition rate for all classes taken at Mountwest and a special low rate for tuition for Ohio University courses.

2012-2013 academic year tuition for OHIO courses
Ohio Residents: $240 for OHIO online courses ($243 non-resident)
$222 per credit hour for OHIO in-person courses in Proctorville/Ironton ($225 non-resident)

ONLINE OR IN-PERSON
The courses you must take from Ohio University can be completed online, but Mountwest students also have the convenient option of in-person classes at the nearby Proctorville Center -- right across the river -- or at the Southern Campus in Ironton.

Three academic programs offered!

 

BCJ

Bachelor of Criminal Justice
Designed for those who have completed an associate degree in a related field, such as criminal justice or law enforcement, this degree enhances ability to advance a career.

 

BSAM

Bachelor of Science in Applied Management
Intended for those who have completed an associate degree or two-year degree program and want to build knowledge and skills necessary for advancement in the field of management.

 

BTAS

Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies
A degree for those who have already completed an associate degree in any technical field (AAS, AAB or ATS) and want to build on that foundation to earn a baccalaureate degree.
