The teacher will be able to:

  2. Identify and critique children’s literature books to incorporate into a unit on the

  3. American Revolution

  4. Compare and contrast leading characters

  5. Evaluate Internet sites that correlate to the novels

  6. Evaluate criteria for evaluating the historical fiction genre

  7. Evaluate the research on the importance of using historical fiction in the classroom

  8. Link historical information to the Language Arts and Social Studies Academic
