Description

Designed to provide practicing teachers and other instructional personnel with short courses, workshops, and summer institutes directed toward their identified needs. Areas of concentration are: (A) Language Arts, (B) Social Studies, (C) Science, (D) Mathematics, (E) Reading, (F) Kindergarten, (G) Individualizing Instruction, (H) Team Teaching, (I) Interaction Analysis, (J) Developing Behavioral Objectives, (K) Curriculum Development, (L) Interdisciplinary Topics, (M) Special Topics, (N) Special Education Topics, (O) Supervision of Instruction.

Methods of Course Instruction

Blackboard course content, discussion board, lecture notes online, email submissions, P. P. presentation.

Course Objectives

  • To increase student’s understanding regarding the Ohio Department of Education Code of Conduct of Educators
  • To review professional and unprofessional behavior
  • To examine the professional relationships with students
  • To discuss the need for accurate reporting
  • To define criminal acts and consequences regarding licensure
  • To explain disciplinary procedures and due process
