Survey of selected basic problems, concepts, and methods in philosophy.

Course Objectives

Examination of the main ideas and methods in the history of philosophy.

General Course Requirements

Ten weekly writing assignments, a midterm and a final exam.

Free online readings from classical philosophy texts (e.g., Plato’s Republic,
Descartes’ Meditations)

Requirements

2 exams (one midterm and one final exam) - No proctoring required

How are exams to be taken: online, open book with notes allowed.
