Are you thinking about taking a distance learning course? Online education is not right for everyone. The decision to take classes from a distance should be based on more than schedules, finances, or convenience.

Your first step is to determine how good a candidate you will be in succeeding in this format. This assessment is designed to show the skills, learning style, and attributes necessary for distance education. Please be as honest as possible and take the quiz to help determine distance education is right for you.

I have access to a computer and the internet.

I have fairly good, basic computer skills (keyboarding, saving documents, emailing).

I have good time management skills.

I am fairly proficient with written communication.

I usually have no problem meeting deadlines.

I am able to work independently.

I am a self-starter who can attempt a task after basic instructions.

I can organize work and family responsibilities and still have blocks of time set aside for classwork and studying.

I am NOT considering an online class because I think the work will be easier and less time consuming.

I am comfortable working on my own.
