Course
Description

A capstone for the BTAS degree, this course requires integration and application of professional knowledge, skills, and technologies in order to complete a professional project for a business, industry, or community organization.

Prerequisites

TAS301 and TAS321 plus SR rank and 30 hours within major



Methods of Course Instruction

All course content is presented on the World Wide Web; e-mail is used for submission of assignments, as well as for the instructor's evaluation and comments.

Course Objectives

After successfully completing this course, you will be able to:

  1. Explain Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the role that it plays in the present day world.

  2. Differentiate the roles that CSR components take part in an organizations CSR plan.

  3. Critique the multistakeholders’ perspective of CSR.

  4. Attribute the role strategic planning when implementing CSR.

  5. Evaluate the role of CSR for modern day organizations.

  6. Design a CSR plan for a modern day organization.


General Course Requirements

  • Weekly discussion forum participation.

  • Weekly graded homework assignments.

  • Personal Statement Essay (Module 7)

  • Midterm (Module 5)

  • Take Home Final

  • Final Project – A CSR Plan for a present day organization
